Far Cry 4 Visual Differences Between next gen consoles,Old Gen Consoles and Pc Explained by Creative director Alex Hutchinson
Far Cry 4 will be a mix platform game which brings many question what kind of differences we will see between in next gen/old gen consoles and pc Creative director Alex Hutchinson explained it during a chat.
Hutchinson described that the studio desired the gameplay experience to be the similar on old gen and current gen but the new generation versions graphics will be much much better also describing that PC is the lead system this time.
Everything you see, whether it’s the fur on the animals, the grass on the ground or the leaves on the trees… All these things are bumped up a huge amount in the next gen version.
He explained that the game is designed first on PC as the lead system compared with other Ubisoft games like Assassins Creed which is designed on console first which indicates that the programmer starts on consoles and then attempts to push their limits as hard as he can. Because of that gamers have never actually seen something comparable to the ultra high PC version on consoles just before.
Due to the fact Far Cry 4 is designed on PC first the visual fidelity of the PC version can basically be poured into the new generation console versions.
So even out of the box, even day one, when we just stuck the code on the new consoles, we were able to dial it all the way up. So as a console player you’re already getting by far the best version we can ship.
That is absolutely great news for PS4 and Xbox One owners but PC gamers also have a purpose to celebrate.
Ubisoft isn’t just well recognized for the high quality of its ports from consoles to PC primarily in the world of optimization. Far Cry 4 shouldn’t experience from that type of issues.
